At the Brickfair this weekend out in the Dulles Expo Center, Lego enthusiasts got together to show off their amazing talents of building insane stuff (did you catch Serenity?)
But on the other side of the expo, tucked in between the various vendors hocking bricks and modded kits, was Rob, creator of Brick Gadgets (www.brickgadgets.com).
Hey, you! Are you watching the Olympics?
There have been a bunch of articles flying around about the so-called connectivity of the Olympic games. I am really enjoying the ones on Mashable - helllllllooooo NBC/IOC smackdown.
But I would much rather focus on the little olympians in all of us. Whose parents didn't throw them into sports and activities without possibly thinking "my kid could medal in this?" Wait, was that just mine?
This weekend, the big Brickfair came to the Dulles Expo Center. Lego enthusiasts of all ages show off their insanely amazing creations. The big draw for me was getting to see Adrian Drake's massive, beautifully detailed reconstruction of Joss Whedon's Firefly class, Serenity ship. Adrian specifically recreated the one from the Serenity movie.
Man, it has been a while since we last put up a blog post. Lot's going on. You may notice we have a brand new pretty sweet website design launched. We were really determined to update since it's been a wee bit of time since we first created the site.
Oh, and we have jumped on the pinning bandwagon - we are officially on Pinterest. It is pretty cool - another way for us to connect with all of you. If you are on Pinterest or just like a casual surf through it, come check us out.
Lastly, we have been doing a bunch of deals through the various coupon sites. Tippr and KGBdeals and in Canada Kijiji deals. Expect a few more coming around the bend - including one from Ideeli. So if you want to snag a super cool Surc, and who wouldn't, for a super low price, keep your eyes peeled for them.
Thanks to all for your continued support of Surc!
